RWA Learning, which provides the Aviva Development Zone, is excited to announce a significant upgrade to its award-nominated e-learning system.

The Development Zone is the system of choice for over 16,000 professionals in the insurance and other regulated sectors and boasts an extensive catalogue of more than 500 regulatory, technical and business skills courses.

Well over a million-course completions have been recorded within the platform over the past ten years, demonstrating the impact that the Development Zone has had in furthering training and competence in the general insurance sector.

What Can Users Expect?

The new version of the Development Zone will help build on this success, allowing professionals to develop and maintain competence in their roles and meet regulatory requirements in the carrying out and recording of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

The upgraded system offers a range of new features, including:

  • an easy-to-use interface;
  • a new, intuitive CPD Recorder to demonstrate to the regulator and external bodies that firms and individuals are meeting CPD targets;
  • a robust reporting function which allows managers to track the development of learners quickly and effectively; and
  • a team management page that will enable supervisors to assign learning and keep track of their team’s progress.

These features have been specially designed to allow regulated firms to deliver learning and development to their staff and evidence their CPD according to FCA requirements.

A Full-Suite Regulatory Tool

The Development Zone has hundreds of modules on key regulatory topics and products, including the IDD Pathway, Consumer Duty, Vulnerable Customers, the Senior Managers and Certification Regime, Conduct Rules, Personal and Commercial Lines, Cyber Risks, Data Protection, and much more.

Firms can also upload their own custom content in a variety of formats, helping personalise the learning experience for the firm’s individual needs.

Richard McKenzie, Chief Executive of the UKGI Group’s Consultancy Division (RWA’s parent company) said:

“We are thrilled to announce this upgrade to our learning management system. We understand the importance of firms keeping up to date with technical knowledge and current regulation. This upgrade will help our clients do just that. Although CPD is a requirement for staff at all levels, we believe CPD can also help motivate individuals to improve performance and productivity and workplace culture. We are confident that it will prove to be a valuable tool for firms and their staff.”

John Nutter, Broker L&D Manager at Aviva said:

“The Aviva Development Zone has been the cornerstone of our Broker Learning & Development proposition for many years now. We’re really pleased that the new and improved platform provides a significant step forward in capability and the new features will further support our brokers learning needs through the significant challenges that they face.”

The Aviva Development Zone offers a 14-day free trial, with no commitment, allowing users to experience the new features and see the benefits for themselves.
