There is still a long way to go in terms of engaging young children with VI to get coding. Accessibility is one thing; this year Scratch team at MIT announced that Scratch 3.0 would be screen reader compatibility, which is undoubtedly a positive step forward. But accessibility alone is not enough. Coding applications like Scratch, aimed at young children, still need to provide an equally creative, fun and stimulating experience to kids with a Vi as to those without.
